Notebooks for CAD applications combine a performance hard drive in addition to an accelerated graphics card. CAD notebooks and laptops are slightly different in their configuration than a standard graphically-accelerated laptop.

The main difference between these two laptop types is in the hard drive selection. More stringent requirements are needed for the CAD laptop.
